This is an October sky over the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario. It looks quite benign, but this weather system brought cold rain, sleet, wet snow and ice and created havoc on the roadways of Central Ontario.

Great shot of the storm cloud-funny how weather changes. Thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful capture! A fellow Canadian..nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteLoved it Hatty, spesially the gras in the front :-)
ReplyDeleteNice weekend.
The reeds and grasses on the right frame the photograph nicely and give the clouds in the sky and interesting contrast.

That is a beautiful sky. Great shot
ReplyDeleteNow THAT's cool!!!
ReplyDeleteI like how you have framed with the bull rushes. They are a lovely shape, aren't they? The leading edge of that bank of clouds does look like it has a bit of havoc to wreak. Here in Australia we simply do not have weather systems such as you describe.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the photo. Nice to be able to match the image with the resulting weather pattern.
Nice picture for this weeks SWF, well done!!
