Yellow Flowers

It's still winter outside, but it is spring in my solarium. I bought these yellow tulips a couple of weeks ago. Yellow tulips are my favourite. They have been keeping my spirits up throughout this messy weather that we have been having - rain, freezing rain, snow, sleet. It's a mess out there.

I have also been working on my hexagons. They are all done by hand, so I didn't need my machine. And that's a good thing because it is in the shop again. Something is wrong with the needle alignment. I hope they can fix it. So here are my yellow flower hexagons.

This the section I have been busy with over the past week or so. I am really glad I have this project to work on because I could get very depressed with the weather, the mess of the reconstruction in my kitchen (my house is covered in dust) and having my machine give up on me.
Oscar likes it too. He is the only one who is not afraid of all the banging and sawing in the kitchen. He's a laid back kind of dude. And he stops to smell the flowers leaves.

"Meow!"

Like the star with the flowers! It sounds good 'all the noises in the kitchen'. That means there is work in progress!

Oscar picked the best spot as background for his picture to be taken.
Together it became this beautifull picture.

Your hexies are so beautiful Hetty. How can you not smile when you see all those bright beautiful colors. How can you not smile at Oscar! What a cutie.

How are you doing, Hetty? Love the octagon flowers and that sweet kitty. I had to give my kitty away. Meanest cat I ever saw. But, yours looks so sweet and gentle.

I love the hexagon work you've been doing. It is POURING here as I type this....so I know what you mean by the weather being depressing. I need sunny, warm days and flowers and leaves on trees...and I need all that SOON!!1

Tulips give you a real spring feeling and so do your pretty yellow flowers. The top is gorgeous. Hope the work in your kitchen won't be too long. Wish you a sunny week end! Here it starts feeling 'lente-achtig'.

Lovely tulips and your flower star is great!
Lucky Oscar, that he doesn't mind all the noice!

I just read a post about the color yellow on JoJo's blog, My Random Insanities, and I talked about yellow not being my favorite color unless it is a very clear yellow like lemons and these tulips personify the clear yellow that I love.

Love the little yellow flower hexagons, too.

Thanks for sharing, Hetty.
