Bee Night!

Today is day 18 of Blogtoberfest.

Tonight is Bee Night at our Guild. We are going to make Dresden Plate Table Mats. Our homework was to cut out the pieces before the class. We will get further instructions on how to put it together tonight. Felix is helping me today. He is a huge, clumsy cat, but he is very respectful of my fabrics and would never hurt them. Not like Mimi who sometimes gets a bit wild when she sees quilt pieces on the floor.

I used three different fabrics. The fourth fabric that you can see in the bottom right corner is going to be for the centre. But I don't want to cut it out until I see how big my inner circle is after I sew the blades together. Hopefully I will have a finished table mat, or at least an almost finished table mat, to show you tomorrow.

That’s typically female Hetty, getting wild over fabrics! I’m sure that’s what Mimi suffers from.
Felix on the other hand respects the fabrics and enjoys the quilt when it’s ready...
