I finished a miniature wall hanging today. At only 11 inches square, it is hand appliqued, has a paper pieced border and is machine quilted.

Cats Love a Good Quilt!

Isn't this great!!! I love rolling on the floor, but I love it even more when there is a quilt-in-the-making on it. And blue is my favourite colour! I think my owner made this especially for me. She says that she is giving it away to charity. Not if I have anything to do with it! Love, Mimi

It's Been a Long Winter!

But now it's over!!!! It is warm outside and the robins are back. I saw one pull a big, juicy worm from the lawn this morning. Yuck! But it's a sign of spring and that makes me happy. It makes my owner happy too. She has been busy as usual, quilting and crocheting. I'll post some of her work tomorrow. Or the next day. Us cats don't have a very good sense of time you know! Meow! A Little Warmth on a Cold Day

I've been working hard to keep the local school kids warm this winter. So far we have not had any really cold weather, but tonight the mercury will dip well below the freezing point. The kids will need warm mitts and hats tomorrow. I will take my stash over to the school this afternoon.

The Appliqued Flower Quilt is Finished!

I finally completed a hand appliqued and hand quilted wall hanging. I think it turned out nice. I plan to hang it in my living room.

I found this photo of the day that my owner attempted to tidy up her yarn stash. This is just another example of the way I am misunderstood. Was she able to organize all that yarn on her own? NO WAY! She needed my help.

A Few Meows from Mimi's Corner......

Nobody understands me. I am a cat. I like to nap. I like to chase things that move. I like to 'untangle' my owners yarn stash. I like to eat Fancy Feast. But nobody knows anything else about me. No one knows the difficulty of having to run this household, having to keep everyone working together, keeping my 'brothers' in line, making sure that things get done. For example, this morning my owner had a dentist appointment. Did she get up at 6:00am when the alarm went off? NO! She just slept right through it. The music played for an hour and then turned itself off and she just kept right on sleeping. That is when I had to take over! I jumped on her bed, sat on her chest and purred in her ear. She still didn't respond. I realized I had to use the big guns! So I bit her big toe when she moved her foot. I scratched her nose. I finally had to resort to hideous, horrible meowing that sounded like the house was burning down. She rolled over, looked at the clock and just said, "Oh, shit!" Then she finally, reluctantly, put her feet over the edge of the bed and got up, without even so much as a 'thank you' to me! I hope that dentist hurts her bad!! But not too bad that she forgets to pick up my favourite catfood on the way home!

Finally found this blog back. OMG!! I thought it would never happen. It had been lost for many months - almost a year to be exact. Hopefully that won't happen again - but then - I am a bit computer challenged. A bit? No, a lot! But I'm working on it.

Mimi is just dying to post some deep, insightful, cat thoughts. Here kitty, kitty. Come and do your stuff. Okay. Okay. Mimi is napping. Maybe tomorrow.

A Beginning.......

Unfinished Projects

Ho hum! What a boring day! It is raining and cold, but I am warm, curled up on my owner's bed. She is still busy with Christmas presents that she didn't get done. It's the usual scenario. Too many WIPs on her hook!

T'was three days after Christmas and all through the house the unfinished projects were spread all around, a quilt, a sweater, even a catnip mouse! Meow!

Don't worry, I will keep you informed of her progress. Maybe even post some of her work on this site! But that would take time from my napping! Speaking of napping! I must get back to mine!
