A Block and a Sleeping Mimi

I finished the block for this week's Friday Block Party. It's called 'Checkerblock Star' and it is a 9inch block. Lots of little pieces, but it went together without any trouble. Just click on the Friday Block Party icon and it will take you to the block.

And here is Mimi, sound asleep on the new mystery quilt cat quilt. I think she likes it.

You chose great colors to showcase that block. As for the quilt, I can't tell much about it because Mimi is taking up a good bit of what is shown here. LOL

I love all the colors and your pattern of your block. Oh Mimi is so pretty! Isn't it funny how they always want to lay right on what you are working on. Mine does that too!

I really like that block and your fabric selection was great. I think I might have to make that one.

Wonderful color choices and wonderful Mimi. I swear cats can look so comfy no matter where they decide to sleep.

What wonderful colours in your block, they really look like spring. We were spoiled this week with the nice weather and then this morning bang, back to the cold. I even saw a few snowflakes on my errands this morning.

Mini looks so confortable on her new cat quilt.

By the way, Happy National Quilting Day. I hope you get some time to quilt. I just finished making the sandwich for the cats and dogs quilt and now will start the stitch in the ditch portion of quilting to get it all stabilized.

Where would a cat sleep if there would not be a mysterious, uh cat quilt? On my soft chesterfield, shedding hairs, my comfy chair or whatever cosy spot they choose?

Preferably in their cathouse which is over the years demolished by dozens of cats, who usually just walk in and never leave again. Once we had six and I was called the catlady of the neighbourhood.
I never knew a cat is happiest sleeping on a quilt.
What should I do? Take up quilting................?
Don't anybody suggests this.

Looking for my cats: Pretzel is in the attic of whatever is left of the pethouse, Boomie is on a chair with nice (dirty)cat pillows, Poes is in his room, yeah, has his own room, and Gabie is in her hiding spot in de basement, which we have not discovered yet.

I'm not a quilter, and I'm not sure how I got to your blog...but I like quilts so much. But Mimi---she's a real sweetie!

I've enjoyed looking at your quilts and blocks, and I'll be back--I'm "favoriting" your blog right now!
