I thought it was spring, but look what my world looks like after the snow we got yesterday. My DH was in the process of clearing the driveway, but it was coming down faster than he could shovel it.
This is what my yellow crocuses look like - totally covered in snow!
The roads were treacherous. Traffic was at a standstill. There was one accident per minute across Toronto. We fought our way through the mess to take some books back to the library, help my DD buy a new car and order a dishwasher for my new kitchen. Speaking of my in-progress-kitchen, Home Depot still hasn't called us back about the cabinets. My nephew and DH are going back there this afternoon. I hope all goes well. The cabinets are actually very beautiful. It's just that I am worried whether the particle board will be strong enough to support the heavy counter top. I want to get a lovely granite one.
I am tired of kitchen renovations.
And I am tired of winter.
And I am tired of winter.

We got hit with snow yesterday, too. It must be a joke because we had gorgeous weather last week. It was 70 degrees last Friday.
Hope you have shoveled out by now.
It's crazy this year. We don't get snow here; but, we sure have had a lot of rain. Last Sunday there were 482 car accidents on our freeways. The Sunday before there were only 82.
I can't blame you for being fed up with winter AND with Home Depot, too. What kind of car did your DD get?
I send some sunshine your way. We really celebrate Spring here. That’s not fair, is it?
Take care!
Summer is on the way. I just ordered a new air conditioner from Home Depot, and I see crocus peeking out from under the snow.
Oh...so sorry.....soon...very soon....
Oh, no sorry about the snow. Hopefully it won't last long :)
I thought we were going to get some snow last night...instead we got just a dusting...guess we lucked out. It still feels like winter though with the cold.
Hopefully spring will be here soon....
Hope you get everything straightened out soon with your cabinets. You should get what you paid for...
Snow, snow and more snow.
But now it is Spring and the hyacinths, tulips and crocusses are not to be stopped. They struggelt out of the snow and are proof of a weather change.
Winter is over and the time for kitchen renovations has begun.
Hang in there. Your kitchens will look terrific.
Hope by now your DH has straightened things out with Home Depot.
Keep us informed.
Makke.
PS. Where do they find all these odd words for verification?
It's snowing here in Utah today also. What's up with that?
Oh yuck Hetty! I thought that all the snow was behind you for this winter. I hope your kitchen will soon be finished. Sometimes these things take forever. Enjoy your snowy weekend.
x
Poor Hetty, unbelievable. We are still enjoying the most beautiful spring weather. Send you some of our sunshine. It might get your spring on track!
