Thought you might like to see what is on my design wall floor. This is what has kept me busy this past week.
I am not sure how big this will get. The instructions are for a twin size bed. Mine might only become a couch quilt.
I have also been working on my houses. I found a piece of dark blue fabric in my stash.
I think it will work well for the sashing between the blocks. I also have a huge piece of dark red that I might use for the corner blocks. I think it may be too dark. I guess I will make a few more houses before I make my decision.
And here is a photo of Mimi, sleeping out in the solarium. She seems to be feeling much better, although she still doesn't want anything to do with me after having to do all those medication things to her.
Thank you to everyone who sent comforting comments and positive thoughts our way. I really appreciated those.

Actually the red isn't bad with the blue unless you want the corner squares to show up more. I like your houses.
Your little houses are so pretty! Love the brightness. And the dark blue is perfect for sashing. Gives rest in the quilt.
Glad Mimi is doing better.
I love blue for your sahing. It will give the eyes a resting place with all the color in the house. Very nice Hetty. I'm so happy to hear that Mimi is doing better. Poor dear.
It never ceases to amaze me how you can take a bunch of quilt blocks and lay them out and have them make sense... I guess that is part of the art of quilting that I admire! I ,too, like the blue sashing and your little houses are sooooo fun!
Thanks for sharing.
Tuna fish has a way of giving Cha Cha an attitude adjustment when she is unhappy with me. Mimi will come around.
Your new project looks very interesting and another good use of all your scraps. The dark blue sashing on the houses really works very nicely.
Mimi looks very contented so even though she may not care for those meds, it looks like they are working.
Watching your houses come to glory
and Mimi gloriously getting better.
Makke.
Hi Hetty,
sorry Mimi has been sick. I've been a little slow in keeping up with my blog friends, been on a trip etc. Glad to be back checking in on everyone.
I think the red would be nice - bring out the red roofs and contrast the blue sashing.
