This is the block on this week's Party. It is called 'Fools Square'. I don't like the name and I don't know if I like the block, but it was easy and quick. Perhaps it will grow on me. It's a 10-inch block, so I used batiks and batik-like fabrics. There are no fools here. Just me and my Mimi.

when I look at your block I'm struck with how interesting a secondary pattern might arise with more of them -- the block themselves are rather non-descript, but I think you'd get a wonderful snowball sort of shape as a secondary...
give mimi a good sratch behind the ear for me.

Oh there you go again, PAINTING WITH FABRIC! It's the fabric that makes this block - we're not fooled! Neither is Mimi. :)
Fool or not, it is gorgeous! Have a great weekend. TTFN ~Marydon
Beautiful quilt block and a beautiful kitty! What more could you need.

Well re-name it Hetty... for yourself. I think it's a neat looking block and if it was easy, what's in a name? And even Mimi looks like she likes it too...
How about Mimis square? Just for her, in your mind's eye...
Thanks for sharing.
Mimi looks so relaxed in this picture. I don't know if teenagers say this anymore, but she looks like she's "just chillin". Keep the kitty photos coming.
Friendly Feline, it says on the quilt.
This is one of Mimi's best pictures.
I just love my Mimi.
Your Mimi is now on my desktop.
Everytime I open up my computer I see her sweet face and I smile. I can't help it. I just smile. Thank you Hetty for making my everyday happy.
